Unfortunately, the Woodstown Farmers’ Market has been canceled due in part to pending construction this summer on the railroad property site near Rt. 40 and with the opening of the Salem Medical Center who are understandably concerned with the high volume of traffic and parking issues that are attached to the Farmers’ Market.
In addition, we were unsuccessful in acquiring a new site that would give us the same exposure and remain user friendly for walkers and parking alike, more important, that did not have the permit and insurance issues attached with operating a Farmers’ Market.
We appreciate the residents who came out weekly to support the Farmers Market and are truly sadden by this unfortunate and regrettable decision we had to make.
Special thanks go out to all who were involved with the market and especially, the Woodstown Farmers Market Committee members who poured their heart and souls into making this event a reality, if only for one year.
